This section promotes sustainable development within the City by providing a menu of sustainability options to be applied. The menu includes, among other things, encouraging local production of food and promoting walkability and active transportation in urban design. It expressly allows community gardens for food supply to count towards any applicable private common open space requirements, for up to a maximum of 25% of the total requirement.
