Violations "shall be a misdemeanor offense and shall be subject to a fine in accordance with subsection 1-4(a) of the City Code of Ordinances for each offense. Any culpable mental state required for an offense resulting from a violation of this chapter shall be in accordance with subsection 1-4(c) of the City Code of Ordinances. Every day a violation continues shall constitute a separate offense." § 9-116.
